dc.description.abstractO tradicional foco hermenêutico na relação entre leitores e textos literários vem cedendo espaço a abordagens que valorizam aspectos corporais e emocionais, impulsionadas por novos paradigmas de enfoque da leitura e demandas resultantes das mudanças geracionais e socioculturais. Nesse contexto, surge o seguinte questionamento: de que modo leitores sem a prática de leitura literária, nascidos na era digital, experienciam a leitura de prosas ficcionais e quais fatores influenciam sua imersão? A partir disso, busca-se analisar o processo de leitura de narrativas literárias sob o impacto do estilo de vida contemporâneo, com ênfase no efeito de presença e no Stimmung, conceitos explorados por Gumbrecht (2010, 2014). Objetiva-se investigar, portanto, como leitores sem a prática de leitura literária experienciam a leitura de prosas ficcionais, avaliando quais elementos narrativos são mais facilmente imaginados, explorando como esses leitores estabelecem conexões emocionais, sensoriais e corporais com o texto literário em prosa. O resultado esperado é contribuir com a comunidade científica e com os docentes da área– em especial aqueles que lecionam na Educação Básica – em relação à identificação de motivos que impactam na prática da leitura dos alunos e na formação de novos leitores. Essa pesquisa é de caráter qualiquantitativo e de campo, tendo sido realizada a partir da leitura de contos pertencentes ao Fantástico Puro e ao Realismo Maravilhoso com alunos do segundo ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública em Londrina, fundamentando-se em autores como Lígia Diniz, Michèle Petit, Vicent Jouve, Sigmund Freud, Tzvetan Todorov, David Roas e Kieran Egan. A hipótese inicial do trabalho, posteriormente contestada pelos resultados evidenciados, foi a de que os adolescentes entrevistados possuíssem grandes dificuldades ou até mesmo não conseguissem produzir presença durante a leitura
dc.description.abstractother1The traditional hermeneutic focus on the relationship between readers and literary texts has increasingly given way to approaches that emphasize bodily and emotional dimensions of reading, driven by new reading paradigms and by generational and sociocultural changes. Within this context, the following question arises: how do readers born in the digital age, with little or no habit of literary reading, experience the reading of fictional prose, and which factors influence their immersion? The study aims to analyze the process of reading literary narratives under the impact of contemporary lifestyles, with particular emphasis on the concepts of presence effect and Stimmung, as discussed by Gumbrecht (2010, 2014). Specifically, it investigates how readers without a regular practice of literary reading experience fictional prose, examining which narrative elements are more readily imagined and how these readers establish emotional, sensory, and bodily connections with prose literary texts. The expected contribution of this research is to support both the academic community and educators–especially those working in Basic Education–by identifying factors that affect students’ reading practices and the formation of new readers. This qualitative-quantitative field study was conducted through the reading of short stories belonging to the Pure Fantastic and Magical Realism with second-year high school students from a public school in Londrina, and is grounded in the theoretical contributions of Lígia Diniz, Michèle Petit, Vincent Jouve, Sigmund Freud, Tzvetan Todorov, David Roas and Kieran Egan.
