| dc.description.abstractother1 | This thesis is linked to Line 1 of the Postgraduate Program in Education at the State University of Londrina (Philosophical, Historical, Political and Cultural Perspectives of Education), as it addresses historical and cultural dimensions that constitute the educational context. Our objective was to understand the development of the curriculum, assessment practices, and inclusion strategies of Physical Education teachers in public basic education schools, seeking to identify the discourses that guide them and their contributions to a pluralistic, critical, and formative education. For the purposes of this research, we define as non-conventional schools those that have broken with certain paradigmatic processes in their approach to teaching, moving away from traditional models centered on the transmission of content, the fragmentation of knowledge, and the centrality of the teacher as the sole possessor of knowledge. The study encompasses three institutions located in different regions of the country: Professor Waldir Garcia School (AM), in the northern region, Campos Salles Municipal School (SP) in the southeastern region, and IFPR Campus Jacarezinho (PR), in the southern region, respectively covering the segments of Elementary School I, Elementary School II and High School. The hypothesis put forward is that the pedagogical practices developed by the teachers in these schools express the non-conventional that characterizes the schools in which they work. This qualitative and ethnographic study adopted documentary research for the analysis of documents that guide educational practices in schools, articulated with field research, including interviews and observation of Physical Education classes. Theoretically grounded in the concept of paradigm shift, as discussed in the works of José Pacheco and Edgar Morin, it connects this concept to the conceptions of Education, School Education, and Physical Education discussed by researchers from different fields such as Paulo Freire, José Gimeno Sacristán, Bernard Charlot, Cipriano Luckesi, Marcos Neira, Suraya Darido, and Marcos Mazzotta. The results indicate that, in general, the pedagogical practices of Physical Education teachers are in line with the non-conventional actions of their schools. In the three schools surveyed, the curriculum revealed a multicultural conception, valuing the plurality of identities, knowledge, and experiences. Assessment practices are guided by human wholeness, articulating the diagnostic, formative, and summative dimensions. However, inclusion remains a challenge, especially regarding the availability of support staff and the adequacy of spaces. The continued existence of these schools demonstrates not only the possibility of conceiving and implementing new forms of educational development in the public sphere, but also their sustainability over time | |
