dc.description.abstractResumo: Esta Dissertação analisa as manifestações linguísticas na Bíblia Freestyle – adaptação bíblica desenvolvida por um pastor evangélico – as quais suscitaram polêmica devido ao emprego de gírias e vulgarismos em um texto de cunho religioso Verificou-se a relação entre a linguagem utilizada pelo autor da adaptação e a realidade social, neste caso, urbana, como marca da identidade da comunidade à qual a versão se destina Com base nos princípios teórico-metodológicos da Sociolinguística (LABOV, 28; PRETI, 1984; GUY, 2), também em estudos focados na identidade cultural (HALL, 26; STRAUSS, 1999; WOODWARD, 211; SILVA, 211), analisou-se a representação da identidade linguística de uma comunidade de fala por meio da realização de uma versão inusitada do texto sagrado O corpus da pesquisa é o evangelho de Mateus, na versão da Bíblia Freestyle, em comparação com a linguagem utilizada em outras duas versões, uma de cunho tradicional e outra de caráter contemporâneo Foram examinados os aspectos linguísticos no objeto de análise que fazem referência à representação da oralidade na escrita, às gírias, aos tabus linguísticos e aos elementos contemporâneos que serviram para observar a relação entre a linguagem usada na adaptação e a identidade underground, em contraposição à linguagem tradicionalmente culta da maior parte das traduções da Bíblia Partimos do pressuposto de que os elementos sociais e ideológicos, operando juntamente com a linguagem, condicionaram a realização de uma versão da Bíblia sob tal viés linguístico Investigamos, por meio da análise de base qualitativa e interpretativista, de que forma a variação linguística, referente à linguagem de grupos urbanos contemporâneos, alcança o texto bíblico Como resultado, verificamos que a a Bíblia Freestyle apresenta traços linguísticos caracteri´sticos dos grupos underground, evidenciando a relac¸a~o entre os recursos variacionais empregados e a identidade da comunidade à qual se destinapt_BR
dc.description.abstractother1Abstract: This dissertation analyses the linguistic manifestations in the Freestyle Bible - a biblical adaptation developed by an evangelical pastor - which have aroused controversy due to the use of slang and vulgarisms in a religious text The relationship between the language used by the author of the adaptation and also the social reality, in this case urban, as a mark of the identity of the community for which the version is intended, was verified Based on the theoretical-methodological principles of Sociolinguistics (LABOV, 28; PRETI, 1984; GUY, 2), also in studies focused on cultural identity (HALL, 26; STRAUSS, 1999; WOODWARD, 211; SILVA, 211), the representation of the linguistic identity of a speech community was analyzed through the realization of an unusual version of the sacred text The corpus of the research is the Gospel of Matthew, in the version of the Freestyle Bible, compared to the language used in two other versions, one with a traditional character and the other with a contemporary character The linguistic aspects in the object of analysis that refer to the representation of orality in writing, slang, linguistic taboos and contemporary elements that served to observe the relation between language used in adaptation and underground identity, as opposed to the traditionally refined language of most translations of the Bible, were examined We started from the assumption that social and ideological elements, running together with the language, have conditioned the realization of a version of the Bible on such a linguistic bias We investigate, through qualitative and interpretive-based analysis, how linguistic variation, regarding the language of contemporary urban groups, reaches the biblical text As a result, it was found that the Freestyle Bible presents characteristic linguistic aspects of underground groups, highlighting the relation between the variational resources applied and the identity of the community for which it is intendedpt_BR
