dc.description.abstractO feminicídio é um problema grave que precisa ser enfrentado com políticas públicas de prevenção e punição. A imprensa tem grande responsabilidade nesse processo, porque produz sentidos a partir da divulgação dos fatos que envolvem o assassinato de mulheres. Nesse contexto, este trabalho analisa o papel da imprensa na publicação de reportagens sobre feminicídio no Paraná, entre janeiro e julho de 2023. O corpus da pesquisa compreende 62 reportagens do banco de dados disponível do Laboratório de Estudos de Feminicídios da UEL. A metodologia consiste em um estudo exploratório com análise do conteúdo das reportagens, utilizando um instrumento próprio baseado em três categorias: a presença da palavra "feminicídio" nas reportagens e o contexto em que o termo é utilizado; a informação fornecida no lide das reportagens; e a identificação das vítimas e dos agressores. Como principais resultados, esta pesquisa identificou 25 reportagens que incluíram o termo "feminicídio" no texto, sendo 52% das vezes sendo caracterizada como uma descrição do crime e 48% como uma explicação técnica. Além disso, buscamos identificar o caráter do machismo estrutural presente nas redações, que se manifestou tanto nas reportagens produzidas por homens, 16 delas, quanto de mulheres, em 6. As outras 40 reportagens não tinham o gênero do autor identificado. Verificamos, também, que em mais de 58% do material analisado, o lide priorizava descrever a violência e a imprensa ainda preserva em mais de 90% a identidade do feminicida à da vítima
dc.description.abstractother1Femicide is a serious problem that needs to be tackled with public policies to prevent and punish it. The press has a great responsibility in this process, because it produces meaning by reporting on the facts surrounding the murder of women. In this context, this monograph analyzes the role of the press in publishing reports on femicide in Paraná between January and July 2023. The research corpus comprises 62 reports from the database available at UEL's Feminicide Studies Laboratory. The methodology consists of an exploratory study with analysis of the content of the reports, using a specific tool based on three categories: the presence of the word “feminicide” in the reports and the context in which the term is used; the information provided in the headline of the reports; and the identification of the victims and aggressors. As the main results, this research identified 25 reports that included the term “feminicide” in the text, 52% of which were characterized as a description of the crime and 48% as a technical explanation. In addition, we sought to identify the character of the structural sexism present in newsrooms, which manifested itself both in the reports produced by men, 16 of them, and by women, in 6. The other 40 reports did not have the gender of the author identified. We also found that in more than 58% of the material analyzed, the headline prioritized describing the violence and the press still preserved the identity
