dc.description.abstractO termo envelhescência foi cunhado na psicanálise brasileira e trata-se do desencontro entre a temporalidade do corpo organismo que envelhece e a atemporalidade do inconsciente, experiência que impõe ao sujeito o trabalho psíquico singular de elaboração da própria velhice. O presente trabalho objetivou investigar a experiência psíquica de envelhecer para mulheres usuárias de um ambulatório de saúde da mulher, pretendendo analisar os efeitos subjetivos de envelhecer que emergiram em suas falas e; discutir a possível relação entre o mal-estar psíquico endereçado ao serviço de saúde, na forma do adoecimento do corpo, e a experiência psíquica da envelhescência. Assim, para o percurso dessa investigação, foi utilizado o método psicanalítico de pesquisa, sendo que os achados foram recolhidos pela observação direta do campo e pelo instrumento de entrevista individual semi-dirigida, material cujas análises possibilitaram uma leitura metapsicológica das experiências relatadas. Esta pesquisa apontou que, para as mulheres participantes, as perdas que suas velhices lhes impõem, como as perdas no corpo, de familiares, dos ideais narcísicos e do lugar simbólico no laço social, parecem lhes desvelar algo do real da castração. Real, diante do qual, parecem produzir como efeito um rechaço da velhice que lhes retorna como o estranho recalcado, a velhice transformada em tabu, o desamparo psíquico manifesto na forma de solidão, e ainda, o que pareceu se configurar como uma questão sobre a feminilidade, sobre o tornar-se mulher, agora, idosa. Para além disso, esta investigação também indicou, para essas mulheres, uma possível relação entre o adoecimento do corpo e suas envelhescências, na medida em que o endereçamento de seus corpos adoecidos ao serviço de saúde, parece ser uma tentativa de recobrir as perdas de insígnias fálicas e de significantes nos quais ancoravam seus lugares simbólicos no laço com o outro e suas identificações imaginárias como mulher. Nesse sentido, o traço “cuidadora” pareceu se fragilizar para elas colocando-as em certo desamparo e, como efeito, fazer emergir a pergunta: como envelhe(ser) mulher? Por fim, compreendemos que a envelhescência pode ser uma inovação diante do real da castração descortinado na velhice e que, o lugar privilegiado à palavra das pacientes desse ambulatório, representa um espaço potencial e frutífero em que essas mulheres-sujeitos podem tocar em algo de seus furos e, no trabalho singular e no laço coletivo, podem tecer novos remendos em suas experiências de envelhe(ser) mulher, cada uma a seu modo
dc.description.abstractother1The term "envelhescência" (a Brazilian term combining "aging" and "the psychological process of aging") was coined in Brazilian psychoanalysis and refers to the mismatch between the temporality of the aging body as an organism and the timelessness of the unconscious, an experience that imposes on the subject the unique psychic work of elaborating their own old age. This study aimed to investigate the psychic experience of aging for women using a women's health clinic, intending to analyze the subjective effects of aging that emerged in their discourse and to discuss the possible relationship between the psychic unease directed at the health service, in the form of bodily illness, and the psychic experience of "envelhescência". Thus, for this investigation, the psychoanalytic research method was used, and the findings were collected through direct observation in the field and through the instrument of semi-structured individual interviews, material whose analysis allowed for a metapsychological reading of the reported experiences. This research indicated that, for the participating women, the losses imposed by old age, such as losses of the body, family members, narcissistic ideals, and symbolic place in the social bond, seem to reveal something of the reality of castration. This reality, in the face of which, seems to produce a rejection of old age that returns to them as the repressed stranger, old age transformed into taboo, psychic helplessness manifested in the form of loneliness, and also what appeared to be a question about femininity, about becoming a woman, now elderly. Beyond this, this investigation also indicated, for these women, a possible relationship between bodily illness and their “envelhescências”, insofar as the referral of their ailing bodies to health services seems to be an attempt to cover up the losses of phallic symbols and signifiers in which they anchored their symbolic places in the bond with the other and their imaginary identifications as women. In this sense, the "caregiver" trait seemed to weaken for them, leaving them in a certain state of helplessness and, as a result, raising the question: how does one age (be) a woman? Finally, we understand that “envelhescência” can be an innovation in the face of the reality of castration revealed in old age and that the privileged space given to the voices of the patients in this outpatient clinic represents a potential and fruitful space in which these women-subjects can touch upon something of their wounds and, in their individual work and collective bond, can weave new patches into their experiences of aging (being) a woman, each in her own way
