dc.description.abstractResumo: A presente Dissertação de mestrado visa problematizar a cultura material dos moradores da Vila de Curitiba na segunda metade do século XVIII, verticalizando a análise para o estudo da indumentária, parte da cultura material, daquela sociedade O recorte temporal escolhido para análise do referido objeto de pesquisa comporta um período importante pelo qual passou a Vila de Curitiba: a abertura da estrada do Viamão em 173 O momento referido é pautado pelo desenvolvimento do tropeirismo, fato esse que possibilitou a ligação da Vila ao conjunto econômico da América portuguesa A nossa principal hipótese é que a abertura do Viamão interferiu e modificou a configuração da economia da região, consequentemente da cultura material daquela no que se diz respeito ao contato com artefatos que até então eram quase inacessíveis ou raros Pensamos que, muito além de poder adquirir esse tipo de objeto, o porquê adquirir diz muito sobre uma sociedade com características do Antigo Regime em que distinguir-se socialmente era importante e, dentre várias estratégias que esses indivíduos utilizavam para obtenção de prestigio e distinção social, entendemos que a preocupação com a aparência, em vestir-se bem, também era uma estratégia Utilizaremos como principal fonte de pesquisa a descrição dos artefatos e bens localizados de vinte e nove inventários post mortem da segunda metade do século XVIII (1769 – 1795)pt_BR
dc.description.abstractother1Abstract: This master's dissertation aims to problematize the material culture of the inhabitants of Vila de Curitiba (village of Curitiba) in the second half of the 18th century, verticalizing the analysis to the study of clothing, part of that society's material culture The time frame chosen for analysis of the aforementioned research object include an important period that Vila de Curitiba went through: the opening of the Viamão road in 173 The referred moment is guided by the development of “tropeirismo”, a fact that enabled the connection of the Vila to the economic group of Portuguese America Our main hypothesis is that the opening of Viamão interfered and changed the configuration of the region's economy, consequently the material culture of that with regard to contact with artifacts that until then were almost inaccessible or rare We think that, in addition to being able to acquire this type of object, the reason why acquiring says a lot about a society with characteristics of the Old Regime in which oneself distinguishing socially was important and, among several strategies that these individuals used to obtain prestige and social distinction, we understand that the concern with appearance, in dressing well, was also a strategy We will use as a main research source the description of the artifacts and goods located in twenty- nine post mortem inventories from the second half of the 18th century (1769-1795)pt_BR
