dc.description.abstractSabendo-se que a atividade turística transforma o espaço geográfico na medida em que se instala nos lugares e evolui junto com as mudanças técnico-científico informacionais, procurou-se investigar tais alterações no município de Ilhabela – SP. Para tanto, o objetivo foi analisar as transformações socioespaciais geradas pela dinâmica das ações antrópicas do processo econômico da atividade turística, na zona costeira de Ilhabela, ocorridas em diferentes temporalidades. Esse recorte espacial justifica-se pelas peculiaridades de ocupação do espaço geográfico de Ilhabela. Para isso, fez-se uso do método dialético na pesquisa sobre as transformações socioespaciais na zona costeira de Ilhabela, com foco nestas mudanças no espaço geográfico durante o processo da atividade turística, de 1957 a 2022, utilizando categorias geográficas como meio técnico-científico-informacional. O trabalho foi pautado em pesquisa exploratória-descritiva, conforme os objetivos, agregou outras técnicas de análise como pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Para o trabalho de campo foi programado: observação assistemática, questionário para o trade turístico – meios de hospedagens, restaurantes e agências de viagens, e entrevista com o representante da secretaria municipal de turismo. Posteriormente a coleta, iniciou-se a classificação, a categorização e a tabulação dos dados para realizar a interpretação da análise e suas discussões. Abordou-se, assim, sobre o objeto de estudo, a caracterização da zona costeira brasileira, o gerenciamento costeiro relacionado ao turismo e o processo de ocupação de Ilhabela; em seguida, o conceito de território e suas variações, o espaço geográfico e o meio técnicocientífico-informacional, a tecnosfera, a psicosfera, a produção do espaço turístico, as horizontalidades e as verticalidades do turismo na Ilha. Descreveu-se e analisou-se os resultados da pesquisa de campo em três tópicos: processo das dinâmicas turísticas relacionadas aos objetos técnicos, dinâmicas das ações do local ao global, e turismo e as desigualdades socioespaciais. Dentre os resultados obtidos, destaca-se, na análise temporal dos meios de hospedagens, que restaurantes e agências de viagens estão intrinsecamente ligados aos tipos de turismo que vão se instalando durante o processo da atividade turística. Os objetos turísticos são um destaque pela peculiaridade e diversidade de atrativos turísticos naturais e culturais. Ainda, percebeu-se que atividades turísticas verticais vêm crescendo e se fixando no espaço geográfico e as horizontais são presentes, resistentes e em consonância com a dinâmica do território. A Ilha, cada vez mais, apresenta variedades de fluxos, com destaque para os fluxos informacionais que foram potencializados pela pandemia da Covid-19, o que alterou as características das atividades turísticas. Por fim, conclui-se que a evolução e transformação das atividades turísticas ao longo do tempo geraram segregações socioespaciais.
dc.description.abstractother1Knowing that tourist activity transforms the geographic space as it settles in places and evolves along with the informational scientific technical changes, we tried to investigate such changes in the Brazilian municipality of Ilhabela - SP. Therefore, the objective was to analyze the socio-spatial transformations generated by the dynamics of anthropic actions in the economic process of tourist activity in the coastal zone of Ilhabela, which occurred in different temporalities. This spatial cut is justified by the peculiarities of occupation of the geographic space of Ilhabela. For this, it made use of the dialectical method in the research on the socio-spatial transformations in the coastal zone of Ilhabela, focusing on these changes in the geographic space during the process of tourist activity from 1957 to 2022, using geographic categories as a technical-scientific-informational means. The work was based on exploratorydescriptive research according to the objectives, adding other analysis techniques such as bibliographical and documental research. For the field work, unsystematic observation, a questionnaire for the tourist trade (accommodation, restaurants and travel agencies) and an interview with the representative of the municipal tourism office were programmed. After the collection, the classification, categorization and tabulation of data began to carry out the interpretation of the analysis and its discussions. The object of study addressed the characterization of the Brazilian coastal zone, the coastal management related to tourism, the process of occupation of Ilhabela, the concept of territory and its variations, the geographic space and the technical-scientificinformational environment, the technosphere, the psychosphere, the production of tourist space and the horizontalities and verticalities of tourism on the city. Field research results were described and analyzed in three topics: process of tourist dynamics related to technical objects; dynamics of actions from local to global; and tourism and sociospatial inequalities. Among the results obtained, the temporal analysis of the means of accommodation, restaurants and travel agencies that are intrinsically linked to the types of tourism that are installed during the process of tourist activity stands out. The tourist objects are a highlight for the peculiarity and diversity of natural and cultural tourist attractions. It was also noticed that vertical tourist activities have been growing and establishing themselves in the geographic space, and horizontal activities are present, resistant and in line with the dynamics of the territory. The city increasingly contains a variety of flows, with emphasis on the information flows that were boosted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which changed the characteristics of tourist activities. Finally, it is concluded that the evolution and transformation of tourist activities over time generated socio-spatial segregation.
