dc.description.abstractResumo: Esta Dissertação tem por objetivo analisar a representação de gênero na revista Nin, um periódico impresso de arte erótica, criado por duas mulheres, com a primeira edição publicada em 215 O intuito da análise está em compreender a importância de uma revista erótica criada por mulheres e fora do padrão normativo, para o cenário de representações de gênero disponível atualmente Assim, o problema deste trabalho se dá em entender de que forma a Nin se tornou um meio de representações libertárias e plurais para o corpo e a sexualidade das mulheres Dessa forma, o referencial teórico apresenta o objeto de análise – a revista Nin, um histórico do desenvolvimento da sexualidade humana à luz de Foucault (1984) e (217), visando compreender as mudanças de valores e costumes da sociedade e, especialmente, a relação das mulheres com a sexualidade ao longo dos anos Além disso, é apresentada uma breve história do movimento feminista (BEAUVOIR, 215), (GARCIA, 211), até chegar ao movimento contemporâneo, pós-estruturalista e a epistemologia queer (BUTLER, 217), (MISKOLCI, 215) Também é abordada uma reflexão sobre representações sociais (JODELET, 21) e sobre o corpo como imagem e objeto de consumo, passando pelas considerações de Gramsci (21) à respeito de hegemonia e formas de usar o corpo como instrumento de protesto político Tratando-se de uma revista erótica, este trabalho também aborda uma discussão sobre erotismo, inclusive demarcando a sua diferença em relação a pornografia (BATAILLE, 214), (BRANCO, 1984), (PAZ, 1999) e (MARCUSE, 1982), dialogando com pensamentos do contemporâneo Han (217) Para compreender como o erotismo, a sexualidade e o corpo da mulher são representados pela mídia ao longo dos anos, é apresentado o desenvolvimento das principais publicações eróticas e pornográficas brasileiras Por fim, é abordado o referencial teórico de análise, que se baseia nas teorias de Foucault (215) sobre poder e de Gramsci (21) a respeito de contra-hegemonia, bem como a análise da revista Nin A pesquisa revela que a representação de gêneros na Nin é contra-hegemônica, pois traz o erotismo pelos olhos das mulheres, que mostra-se mais reflexivo, plural e libertário, com potencial para transformações sociais, pois é uma forma de resistência ao poder dominante, um meio de manifestação política em prol da diversidade e liberdade do corpo e da sexualidadept_BR
dc.description.abstractother1Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyse gender representation in the magazine Nin, a printed journal about erotic art, created by two women, with its first edition published in 215 The intent of this analysis is to understand the importance of an erotic magazine created by women and outside of the normative standards, for the scenario of gender representations existing nowadays Therefore, the problem this paper approaches is to understand in which way Nin became a mean of both libertarian and plural representations for women’s body and sexuality In this way, the theoretical frame of reference presents the object of analysis – Nin magazine, a historic of the development of human sexuality according to Foucault (1984) and (217), aiming to comprehend the changes of society’s values and habits and, above all, the relation between women and sexuality throughtout the years Furthermore, it presents a brief history of the feminist movement (BEAUVOIR, 215), (GARCIA, 211), up to the contemporary movement, post-structuralist and the queer epistemology (BUTLER, 217), (MISKOLCI, 215) In addition, it approaches a reflection on social representations (JODELET, 21) and on the body as an image and object of consumption, passing through Gramsci’s (21) considerations about hegemony and ways of using the body as an instrument of political protest Since it regards an erotic magazine, this paper also approaches a discussion about erotism, as well as it distinguishes its difference from pornography (BATAILLE, 214), (BRANCO, 1984), (PAZ, 1999) and (MARCUSE, 1982), engaging with thoughts of the contemporaneous Han (217) In order to understand how erotism, sexuality and female body are represented by the media along the years, this paper will present the development of the main erotic and pornographic publications in Brazil Finally, it approaches the theoretical frame of reference of the analysis, which is based on Foucault ‘s (215) theories about power and Gramsci’s (21) theories regarding counter-hegemony, as well as an analysis of Nin magazine The research reveals that gender representation on Nin is counter-hegemonic, because it shows erotism through women’s eyes, which is seen as more reflexive, plural and libertarian, with potential for social changes, because it is a form of resistance against the dominant power, a mean of political manifestation on behalf of diversity and liberty of the body and sexualitypt_BR
